It is a popular myth that software license compliance issues disappear with your transition to the cloud. Software vendors host all your resources, can view and monitor all your activity. They create technical barriers to prevent you and your users from exceeding license limits. Is it correct?
False! In most cases, these technical barriers do not exist, meaning it's easy to run in the cloud on your licenses as well as on-premises. However, even with technical hurdles, there are still too many possibilities to be exposed to software license compliance issues in the cloud.
